Caring for someone with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson's, or other long-term illnesses can be one of the most challenging things you will do in your life. These diseases can last for years and require the caregiver to be present and help 24/7. It is isolating, it is frustrating and it is hard. But you don’t have to do it alone.
Share, Care, and Prayer Support Group
Meeting at the church Tuesday afternoons at 2pm.
This group is open to anyone—church members and community members—who is a caregiver. Our purpose is to lend support to anyone who is caring for a spouse, parent, sibling, or child facing the challenges of Dementia, Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s. We will have open and honest discussions with complete confidentiality which will strictly be observed.
We want to offer a safe place for caregivers only to meet once a week. The Bible teaches us that we must bear one another’s burdens, so we invite any caregiver to join us. We will share, care, and end in prayer. Our goal is to do that every week, but also we want to provide outside resources for every participant. Our prayer is that every caregiver will realize that there is help, resources, and hope in Christ.
Linda and Mary have over 17 years combined experience in caregiving and understanding the struggles, frustrations, griefs, anxieties, and fears in this journey. Please contact Mary for more information on joining this group!
Alzheimer's Association Support Group
